Each month, or there abouts :-), we post a poll on our homepage which asks a question about mood, stress, coping with life etc. Here are the results of all the questions so far.

How does your relationship affect how you feel?

I am very irritable and angry with my partner when I feel low 31%; my partner is really helpful and supportive 24%; I don't have a partner and that makes me feel low 18%; My partner doesn't understand how I feel 16%; I'm low/depressed because my relationship ended 6%; I don't think my relationship (or lack of one) affects how I feel 5%.

I'm in work but I'm scared of losing my job because I am depressed 22%; I'm not working and it makes me feel down 22% I'm not working because of depression or another health condition; I'm in work but I'm scared of losing my job because of the recession 11%; I'm in work and I feel secure in my job 10%; I'm in education and I'm worried I won't find a job when I finish 9%; I'm in education and not worried about the future 2%; I'm in education and I am confident of finding a job when I finish 1%; I'm not working and I'm not worried about it 0%

What helps you revise for exams?

Listening to your favourite music while you revise 23%; taking regular breaks to do something you enjoy 18.9%; planning something fun to look forward to after the exams 12.2%; procrastinating for as long as possible 10.8%; making and sticking to a revision timetable 9.5%; plenty of caffeine 8.10%; studying with friends 6.8%; doing practice papers 6.8%; hours and hours in the library 4.1%

yes, I feel crap as a direct result of money or job problems caused by the crisis 39.3%; yes - all the bad news about the economy has made me feel worse 20.5%; no I'm not currently affected 19.7%; No it's a concern but I don't let myself worry about money 17.2%; what financial crisis 3.3%

Is your mood lower in the winter?

Yes I start noticing I feel low around October and it lasts all winter 35.2%;  Yes I find January and or February really difficult 22.4%; Yes - I really notice I feel low over Christmas and New Year 18.3%; No, my mood isn't lower in the winter 18.3%; I notice it a bit but it doesn't really affect me 5.9%

How much does your low mood or anxiety affect your ability to sleep?

how much is sleep affected? I can't get to sleep and wake early 36.6%; I find it really difficult to get off to sleep 21.8%, A lot, I wake in the early hours most mornings 19.7%, my sleep isn't affected at all 11.3%;  I have problems sleeping but not regularly 10.8%

No I find it hard to talk about this sort of stuff 41.2%; I've told a few of my closest pals 33.10%, No way, I'm worried about how they would react 11.4%, yes most of them 8.6%, Not yet but I might do 5.7%
