I have called a helpline about 3 times now over the past 9 months. I knew I was feeling very stressed and had a lot of anxiety about my future and feared that the only way out may be suicide. Within a minute or so of talking I was in floods of tears. I didn’t realise how upset I was until I started to cry. I have always felt really self conscious and I don’t know if I would have cried if I was getting help face-to-face. Crying really help release some of the stress I was under. I keep the Help Lines number in my phone so it’s always close at hand. Help Lines are a very good resource to have. Some are available 24/7and are free to call. With Help Lines it also means that you can talk to someone straight away. |
