Living Life to the Full Courses

Depression Alliance Scotland (DAS) run free Living Life to the Full courses in the Lothians, the Highlands and online. If there are no suitable courses in your area or you want to find out more, please email us.

What is Living Life to the Full?

Living Life to the Full uses a type of therapy called Cognitive Behaviour Therapy or CBT for short. Research has found that CBT is helpful for many people with depression or low mood. The course teaches you how to:

  • overcome stress and anxiety
  • build confidence
  • tackle difficult situations
  • understand why we feel as we do
  • solve problems
  • relax
  • overcome reduced activity
  • change unhelpful thinking
  • recognise helpful and unhelpful behaviour and
  • live healthily

Living Life to the Full Interactive

You can do Living Life to the Full course online with the help of a support worker if you have mild to moderate depression and live in Scotland. . You will work through a six session course and your support worker will be there to offer 4 - 6 short telephone or email contacts over 6 weeks to help you get the most out of it. The course is free.
