Getting the balance right
There are lots of things that can make you feel better in the short term but actually exacerbate depression and anxiety. These are things like drinking too much, eating bad food, spending too much time online or gaming, spending money. A lot of these may be ok in moderation and we'll be talking about getting the balance right for you.

Talking to friends and family about depression
A lot of people who come to chat say it's hard telling their friends and family how they feel. We'll be talking about how to broach the subject and how to avoid potential pitfalls.

Avoiding Avoidance
Yes, we know we'd feel better if we exercised! And it would be good to go out and see our friends... but somehow we don't do it. A lot of us with depression avoid doing things that used to bring them pleasure or which help them feel good. This chat is about how we break out of the cycle of avoidance.

Is there anything you'd like to chat about? Drop me an email at trishc@dascot.org and let me know.
