Families and FriendsDepression doesn't only affect the person who is ill, it can have a huge impact on their family and their mates. If you know someone who is depressed or going through a hard time, or if you are wondering whether someone you know has depression, this section is for you. Depression is a common condition which affects lots of people. You can find out more about the condition in the Feeling Crap? section of this website. It can make someone feel really bad and this can affect their relationships with people close to them. It is not always obvious that someone is feeling crap, they probably look ok. They may carry on working or attending school, college or uni. However If you notice changes in their mood, their behaviour, energy levels habits or personality, depression may be a possible reason for these changes. Only a trained professional can diagnose someone with depression but this section will give you some ideas about how to help someone who you think may be feeling bad.
